Topics AMED received a visit by Minister of Social Affairs and Health of Finland

On June 27, 2025, H.E. Ms. Kaisa Juuso, Minister of Social Affairs and Health of Finland, and H.E. Ms. Tanja Jääskeläinen, Ambassador of Finland to Japan, visited the AMED headquarters and met with AMED President Nakagama. AMED introduced their research and development, especially of medical devices supporting elderly care and their data and life course initiatives. The Finnish representatives shared information about their national infrastructure for medical information, including genomics, and its utilization especially for preventive medicine. They exchanged opinions on the potential for further development of Japan-Finland collaboration.
