The Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED) and the South Africa Medical Research Council (SAMRC). launched a joint call for proposals "Genomic Insights into the Pathogenesis of Cancer and Infectious Diseases" on 7 October 2024 and closed the call on 2 December 2024. All proposals were evaluated by the evaluation panels in Japan and Republic of South Africa (appendix. AMED side of review committee members), and the AMED and SAMRC decided to support following three joint projects.
