News Releases & Research Results Publication of primate omics database, D3G, for drug discovery - Provision of high-quality data, including human and non-human primate genomes -
News Releases & Research Results
Outline
The results of collaborative research conducted by Deputy Program Director Jun Kawai et al. of the RIKEN Preventive Medicine and Diagnosis Innovation Program.
The key results of research are as follows:
- D3G (Database for Drug Development based on Genome and RNA) was constructed and published as the integrated database of omics information (*) , including primate (human, cynomolgus monkey, and marmoset) genome and gene models and gene expression information.
* A collection of comprehensive information of the biomolecules responsible for life activities, including DNA and RNA base sequences, gene expressions, and protein expressions and structures. - This database should promote innovations in drug discovery, such as the identification of effective nucleotide sequences, evaluation of their efficacy, and prediction and interpretation of their safety in research for nucleic acid drug discovery.
This research was conducted with the support of the Program for Promoting Platform of Genomics based Drug Discovery by AMED.
