Conference overview
The U.S.-Japan Cooperative Medical Sciences Program (USJCMSP) was established in 1965 (under a US Presidential-Japan Prime Ministerial level agreement) to strengthen the Japanese research capacity and address issues of public health importance in the Asia-Pacific region.
Since 1996, the Emerging Infectious Diseases (EID) Conference has been implemented every year with a focus on diseases or research areas of importance to the countries in the Pacific Rim.
The focus of this conference is on the pathogenesis and protective immunity of viral diseases of importance in the Asia-Pacific region. During the conference, participants will share current research findings and foster existing and potential international research collaborations that engage investigators and institutions in the the United States, Japan and Asia-Pacific region.
