Programs Department of Health and Clinical Data
Overview
Department of Health and Clinical Data consists of three divisions, which are namely the Division of Health and Clinical Data, the Division of Data Sharing and Medical Art, and the Division of Data Utilization.
Aiming for the realization of genomic and personalized medicine, these divisions promote the infrastructure and utilization of genomic data and health care/medical data, and R&D relating to the prevention of onset/severe, diagnosis, and medical treatment of various disease based on a personal life stage. Therefore, this department supports some researches, which are the correlations between genetic mutations/polymorphisms and onset of disease, the implementation of novel diagnosis/intervention using the registration based on medical data, ICT and AI, and so on, and the collection of data through the improvement of intangible medical technology and its relating various system. Finally, this department tackles to promote data sharing various result created from these researches.
Division of Health and Clinical Data
The Division of Health and Clinical Data promotes the establishment of infrastructure and research environment for genome and health/medical data. This division supports research such as on the etiology derived from genetic mutation/polymorphism throughout one’s life as well as on the development of ICT and AI using health/medical data, so that the results of the studies can lead to prevention of disease onset/progression, diagnosis, and treatment of disease in the clinical settings.
Division of Data Sharing and Medical Art
The Division of Data Sharing and Medical Art promotes the R&D of medical technology that contributes to prevention of onset/severe progression, diagnosis and treatment for diseases from the life stage perspective, by promoting the foundation arrangement and the utilization of genomic data and the health care/medical data of cancer and intractable diseases, dementia, and lifestyle-related diseases. This division also promotes research that aims to improve intangible medical technology and its relating various system through data collection.
