Events Japan-Korea Joint Symposium on Translational Research in Regenerative Medicine and Genome Editing

Conference Report

The Japan-Korea Joint Symposium on Translational Research in Regenerative Medicine and Genome Editing was held in Tokyo on 16th November 2023 at Nihonbashi Life Science Building.

This symposium was co-organized by AMED and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) and welcomed a total of eight experts from Japan and Korea. In addition to introducing the latest research and development trends and results from both countries, the symposium also featured a panel discussion on research cooperation.

This symposium was held in cooperation with the Life Science Innovation Network Japan (LINK-J), the Japanese Society for Gene and Cell Therapy, the Japanese Genome Editing Society, and the Japanese Society for Regenerative Medicine. There were over 130 participants from research institutions, companies, etc., both in-person and online.

Department of International Strategy in AMED will continue to utilize the international networks and promote international research collaboration.
