Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED) is pleased to announce Japan-Singapore joint grant call for proposals in the field of "Cell Therapy - a focus on quality, efficacy and safety" on SICORP in collaboration with the Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Singapore (A*STAR). This is the 2nd joint funding program after Memorandum of Cooperation that was signed between AMED and the A*STAR on March 16, 2016.

Program summary

SICORP provides support for international joint research projects on the basis of equal partnership in countries,regions,and fields of cooperation that have been designated as particularly important by the Ministry of Education,Culture,Sports,Science and Technology (MEXT) on the basis of intergovernmental agreements,in collaboration with funding agencies in the countries concerned.

The aim of this program is to contribute solutions to challenges facing world today and to bolster Japan’s scientific and technological capabilities through collaboration with a broad range of countries.
This program, with a view to disseminating excellent research results of our country to the world, expects to achieve synergies and develop mutually by collaborating with foreign countries and regions in science and technology that can be a source of our competitiveness.

Japan-based applicants

Early-stage investigators are eligible to apply for this grant call. Please refer to [Application Guideline] I-3. Prospective Applicants and [Supplemental Guideline (for only Japan-based co-applicants)] (page 3) for further information.

How to Apply

The Japan and Singapore-based co-applicants should use the application forms issued by AMED and A*STAR. The co-applicants from Japan and Singapore shall work together to write a proposal and apply electronically as designated in [Application Guideline] I-3. Prospective Applicants section.

Japan-based co-applicants

Electronic submission of both [Application Form] and [Additional Application Form (written in Japanese and/or English for only Japan-based co-applicants)] though e-Rad is required by 17:00 (Japan Standard Time) on 2nd of July (Tue) 2019.
