Today, the Cabinet Secretariat announced the recipients of the 2nd Japan Medical Research and Development Awards. The recipients of the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED) President’s Award are given below.

Development of anti-metastatic drug for cancer targeting oxygen sensing mechanism with high safety Contribution to the elucidation of pathology of microenvironment associated with cancer metastasis and recurrence.
Expected to aid development of antimetastatic drug based on the new therapeutic strategy.
