This program improves the efficiency and quality of the medical provision system by utilizing data in the diagnosis procedure combination(DPC) and national databases(NDB) through the following activities: implementation of evaluations of regional medical performance (including epidemiological studies, such as evaluations of drug effectiveness), establishment of a platform through which evaluations can be sustainably and efficiently implemented, and construction of a system for providing effective medical technologies, including drugs, medical devices, and medical practices. Utilization of this platform will allow reevaluation of existing drugs and identification of extremely rare side effects. By analyzing the data collected by the program, reevaluation of drugs and medical devices and identification of unmet medical needs may be achieved through comprehensively collection of clinical indicators and evaluation of the effectiveness of medical technology, including drugs and medical devices, in the post-marketing phases.
