Division of Medical Device Research on Development of New Medical Devices

This program promotes the following R&D to create innovative medical devices by developing the fruits of basic research in Japan to regulatory approvals:

1. Clinical research and investigator-initiated trials of innovative medical devices;
2. Research development of innovative medical devices through incubating human resources in medical device industry and designing medical needs;
3. Development of training system for surgery, diagnosis, therapy, etc.
4. Research development of innovative medical devices useful for home medical care.
