This program is operated in accordance with the New Orange Plan (Comprehensive Strategy to Accelerate Dementia Measures) that aims to pursue the possibility of preclinical treatments; to strengthen support infrastructure for clinical research including large-scale genetic analyses and international collaboration; and to promote development of disease-modifying drugs, effective symptom improvement therapies, and effective prevention strategies. Following the Framework for Promoting Dementia Care established in 2019 which aims to advance research and development on mechanisms of dementia onset and progression, prevention, diagnoses, treatments, this program further extends the infrastructure for dementia research and development.
